Alessandro Lugli is since 2011 Professor of Tumor Pathology at the Institute of Tissue Medicine and Pathology of the University of Bern. Since 2021, he is Chef Tissue MD and Head of Gastrointestinal Tissue Medicine. His research’s focus includes gastrointestinal tumors, especially the role of tumor budding in colorectal cancer where he is author of several publications and presentations.
He is member of the International Tumor Budding Consortium and several medical societies.
